When I saw that Jeff Bridges' photography would be shown in Santa Barbara at the Tamsen Gallery, and that he himself would be speaking, I don't think I've ever bought tickets to an event faster in my life.
As I first walked around the gallery, I ran into two other Widelux F6 shooters— what a wonderful experience that was! It was so surreal to hear the shutter and winding noises of Wideluxes other than my own.
When Jeff Bridges finally came out, the whole room was buzzing. I could easily listen to him tell stories all day. I asked him if he had any advice for Widelux shooters— he thought about it, then said: "Get your fingers out of the way!" Everyone laughed. He demonstrated on my F6 and even took a photo of the crowd. As you can tell from my reaction in the 2nd row (taking the photo on my phone), it was a very special moment.
When I got home, I even tried my hand at Jeff Bridges' famous Comedy/Tragedy photos, selfie style— let's just say I'll leave that one to the master. ◇
