Contact Sheets 100526 / A Japanese Garden with the Hasselblad 501CM

It was a hot day in San Diego, but slowly cooling in the afternoon. I entered the garden, and just off the path there was a cat tramping in the grass. I called out gently. Pspspsps. (Never fails). She came over, said hello, and flopped onto the grass. Slow-blink. I quietly took her photo, and got up to explore the rest of the garden.
I had the Hasselblad 501CM with me, which I rented, as well as my Kiev 88 (for a video comparison). This day felt like a long time coming. After all these years of owning the Kiev 88, I was excited to finally try out a Hasselblad for myself. And it did not disappoint.
The entire process of using the Hasselblad 501CM is seamless, effortless. A sigh of relief, really, especially coming off of my 10-year run using the Kiev 88. And I may not be trading in my Kiev just yet, but I would definitely love to use the Hasselblad again one day.

The photos are great! 😎📸
