I miss the lazy days of summer.
There is something so outside our evolution, so foreign and distinctly uprooted, about existing in digital realms. When I spend too much time online, I feel disembodied. Everything is racing and imaginary. I become up and away and somewhere else, losing touch with the slow and the certain.
For me, summer has always felt like the return to the earth. Our school bell to freedom. Sunscreen and heat, burning lungs, roaring waves of relief. So here I am, trying to find my way back, through film.
To remember what life feels like at the ground level.
